The Indutrade Group is divided into five international Business Areas. Business Area Infrastructure & Construction includes both technical trading companies and companies with proprietary products. The companies sell materials, products, tools and equipment primarily for the infrastructure and construction sectors. 

About the Role:

In this position as Head of Sustainability, for Business Area Infrastructure & Construction, you will play a vital role within both our Business Area Management Team and the Group Sustainability team. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and lead the implementation of a robust sustainability strategy within the Business Area, ensuring alignment with the Group framework. This role requires not only strategic vision but also the ability to drive and derive business benefits from sustainability initiatives. You will act as a strategic advisor, providing guidance and support to our Business Area companies on their sustainability efforts. In addition to strategy development, you will actively participate in the Group Sustainability network and collaborate with counterparts in our Business Area companies. 

Examples of areas of responsibility and tasks:

  • Develop and lead the implementation of a sustainability strategy in the Business Area, aligned with the Group framework.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including sustainability resources, to align strategies and ensure effective implementation.
  • Support, encourage and motivate companies to derive business advantages through sustainable practices, integrating it seamlessly into their overall business strategy.
  • Support the reporting process by addressing inquiries from companies, ensuring data quality accuracy and collecting feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct an annual evaluation of the overall sustainability development within the business area and its individual companies and identify areas of priority for improvement.
  • Support the companies in designing and setting overall sustainability goals and KPIs in line with the company's strategic ambition and materiality analysis, and associated activities and priorities.
  • Support acquisition processes by carrying out sustainability analysis of potential acquisition candidates, in line with Group priorities.

About you:

You are down-to-earth and appreciate different company cultures and people. You are business-minded with a high drive and take proactive initiatives to create sustainable results. Your strong project management and analytical skills enable you to measure and report on sustainability initiatives effectively. You understand how sustainability and business benefits can be combined and integrated into the company's overall strategy. Furthermore, you have excellent social and networking skills, allowing you to inspire, engage and lead teams toward sustainability goals. 

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in working with sustainability topics in a strategic context, including business development and communication.
  • Strong capability and experience in business partnering and consulting approach, working with senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of sustainability regulations and reporting frameworks.
  • Full working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel.
