About the company

CarbonCloud is a SaaS startup founded in Gothenburg Sweden in 2019 by a team of scientists on a mission to improve the climate impact of food. The company develop software that helps calculate and communicate the carbon footprint of your food products, map out your supply chain and spot where and how to reduce your emissions together with your suppliers – from farm to shelf.

The company ultimately provide the infrastructure and network packed with global data and intelligence to make the best procurement choices, get the most granular calculations, and even help consumers make climate-conscious choices. A real competitive advantage that, as of today, has only been a game of the few. The client base already includes several great brands and large international companies such as Oatly, Unilever, and Menigo among others and more are to come as the company expands into a global arena. 

About the Role

CarbonCloud is seeking a highly skilled and motivated VP Operations to join the organization as part of the executive team. As the VP Operations, you will be part of the strategic executive leadership, drive organizational alignment, operational effectiveness, and the achievement of key objectives. You own all operational functions and lead those teams. This role requires exceptional leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex organizational challenges. The role is new to the company, and you will be part of setting up the team-structure as the company expands. 

Key Responsibilities on an overall level

  • Drive the company’s stakeholders and teams to successful deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align objectives, initiatives, and resources throughout the organization.
  • Oversee and manage strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess organizational performance.
  • Regularly monitor and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions.

Skills, Experiences and Requirements

  •  Experience in a Growth SaaS Company. Require a minimum of 10 years of experience preferably in a similar VP Operations or strategic/operational leadership role.
  • Strategic Thinking and Execution with a proven track record of strategic thinking and execution. Experience from developing and implementing strategic plans, driving initiatives, and achieving measurable results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience leading and managing teams with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and mentor team members and cross-functional team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Experience with building and maintaining strategic partnerships and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. High ability to analyze complex situations, identify key issues, and develop data-driven recommendations to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Project Management Expertise in project management with experience leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Business driven with strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and market dynamics within the SaaS industry. A keen business sense and the ability to make informed decisions that align with the company's growth objectives.
  • Prone to dynamic and fast-paced environments with ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, handle ambiguity, and remain resilient in the face of challenges.
